Most Americans don’t read political blogs. No surprise, most Americans don’t vote either. A new poll says only 22% of Americans read political blogs. If you compare that to the little over 30% who vote in midterm elections, that 22% becomes a lot more significant doesn’t it.
The economy is so bad right now people are cutting back from Starbucks and eating out…We are so damned spoiled in America ! We really have no concept of what a poor economy is…but stay tuned because we are about to find out.

The Financially and Economically Illiterate
I got into a conversation about the economy with some friends last night. One thing everyone agreed on was the economy is in a slump and doesn’t look like it is going to recover anytime soon.
Everyone had some pretty educated ideas about the cause and solutions to help the economy. However, there seems to always be one in every group that just doesn’t quite get it.
My liberal friend says (yes, I have liberal friends) the economical fall out is a direct result of the Bush Administrations Tax Cuts and they should be eliminated. He says we should also raise taxes on the rich and corporations, especially oil companies and give that money to the middle class who desperately needs it and deserves it. (No he is not Barack Obama)
My friend then went on to explain that when Obama is president he should just print more money so more would be available. He is definitely a product of government schools.
I really don’t have time right now to explain why this is one of the most economically illiterate ideas ever, but then I also assume readers of this blog share an intelligence level higher than most and may actually understand economics.

Everyone Loves a Sex Scandal: NY Dem. Gov. Elliot Spitzer and his hooker.
Unless you are living a life of isolation you no doubt have heard about NY Gov. Elliot Spitzer and his hooker, but can we please get a grip! This thing has taken up 90% of the news coverage.
So the governor paid a hooker for sex and got caught. Like he is the only man in America to ever do such a thing…It can’t be the oldest profession in the world without customers.
Spitzer has admitted to the allegations, resigned and has been replaced. This story should be over, but oh no. Everyone loves a good sex scandal. So the story goes on.
Now we are being told about all the inside information into the world of call girls, and learning all the details about this young woman. In the end this story is going to make this young woman very rich.
The real annoying thing about this story is not the hypocrisy of the governor, who conducted his whole career denouncing and prosecuting such behaviors under the law, but how the main stream media has handled the story.
Spitzer is a Democrat, but you won’t find it in any of their news reports. In fact some of the broadcast news networks have refused to identify Spitzer as a Democrat at all. Would a Republican receive the same courtesy? I think not.
Newsbusters has a great example of this from ABC news. It’s an ABC's "Political Sex Scandals Redux" popup slideshow from recent years and you can see for yourself they are very quick to identify Republicans in scandals, but not Democrats.
One news outlet has actually identified Spitzer as a Republican! Amazing!
More evidence of Saddam’s Terrorist Ties
Last year I told you about thousands of documents and audiotape files recovered from Iraq that linked Saddam to terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. A story that virtually went unnoticed by the mainstream media.
Well we are continuously learning more about Saddam’s regime as these documents continue to be analyzed. Today we have another story stemming from those sets of documents that is sure to get the same amount of media coverage from the mainstream media.
A report titled “Saddam and Terrorism and released this week by the Institute for Defense Analyses, says it found no “smoking gun” linking Iraq operationally to Al Qaeda, but says Saddam collaborated with known Al Qaeda affiliates and a wider constellation of Islamist terror groups.
Now the no “smoking gun” between Saddam operationally to al Qaeda is sure to get some attention. Just as it has in the past to similar reports, but let’s take a look at what the mainstream media likes to ignore.
In this report you will find the following:
~The Iraqi Intelligence Service in a 1993 memo to Saddam agreed on a plan to train commandos from Egyptian Islamic Jihad, the group that assassinated Anwar Sadat and was founded by Al Qaeda's second-in-command, Ayman al-Zawahiri.
• In the same year, Saddam ordered his intelligence service to "form a group to start hunting Americans present on Arab soil; especially Somalia ." At the time, Al Qaeda was working with warlords against American forces there.
• Saddam's intelligence services maintained extensive support networks for a wide range of Palestinian Arab terrorist organizations, including but not limited to Hamas. Among the other Palestinian groups Saddam supported at the time was Force 17, the private army loyal to Yasser Arafat.
• Beginning in 1999, Iraq 's intelligence service began providing "financial and moral support" for a small radical Islamist Kurdish sect the report does not name. A Kurdish Islamist group called Ansar al Islam in 2002 would try to assassinate the regional prime minister in the eastern Kurdish region, Barham Salih.
• In 2001, Saddam's intelligence service drafted a manual titled "Lessons in Secret Organization and Jihad Work—How to Organize and Overthrow the Saudi Royal Family." In the same year, his intelligence service submitted names of 10 volunteer "martyrs" for operations inside the Kingdom.
• In 2000, Iraq sent a suicide bomber through Northern Iraq who intended to travel to London to assassinate Ahmad Chalabi, at the time an Iraqi opposition leader who would later go on to be an Iraqi deputy prime minister. The mission was aborted after the bomber could not obtain a visa to enter the United Kingdom.
Saddam may not have had a direct link into al Qaeda operations, but there is now little doubt there was some type of relationship.

Barack Obama’s Pastor…You can tell a lot about a man by the company he keeps.
Barack Obama’s Pastor seems to have some controversial sermons and goes as far to tell his congregation 9-11 was America’s fault, and they should sing “God Damn America” instead of “God Bless America.”
Obama is now trying to distance himself from the comments of his friend, moral advisor and pastor. Obama claims he never heard the good pastor say such things…Right. The pastor who married him and his wife, baptized his children. This pastor is not some peripheral figure; he is a big part of who Barack Obama is!
You can tell a lot about a man by the company that he keeps. We are starting to learn who Barack Obama is.

Vatican goes "green" with "new sins"
Thou shall not pollute. The Vatican has gone green saying climate change had become gravely important for the entire human race and told the faithful they should be aware of “new” sins such as causing environmental blight.
According to this report from Reuters, the Vatican has become progressively “green” installing photovoltaic cells on buildings to produce electricity and hosted a scientific conference to discuss the ramifications of global warming and climate change, widely blamed on human use of fossil fuels.
I guess the Vatican forgot to invite the other scientist who say the use of human fossil fuels have nothing to do with global warming or climate change.
Some of the other “new seven sins” are just as ridiculous. For instance causing poverty, how exactly does one cause poverty? Accumulating excessive wealth? The Catholic Church is one of the richest organizations in the world. In fact they have more money than most countries! So, what exactly is the definition of excessive wealth?
Anyways here is a list of the new seven:
· Genetic experimentation
· Tampering with the order of nature
· Pollution
· Social injustice
· Causing poverty
· Accumulating excessive wealth
· Drug abuse
Well at least they don’t come with punishments like the original seven sins put fourth by Pope Gregory in the 6th Century.

Republican Sen. Wayne Allard of Colorado proposed an amendment mocking Barack Obama’s proposals from the campaign trail. All of Obama’s promises on the amendment add up to 1.4 trillion dollars! Genius! Unfortunately no one is paying attention.
Barack Obama was supposed to bring new change to D.C., a different kind of politician without all the baggage…right. Then why is he caught up with this crooked real estate developer? You can tell a lot about a man by the company he keeps.
A church in Ohio is offering 25 cent discount on gas for attendance to church services. It is good thing this is not a Catholic Church, with pollution being one of the new sins and all.
Getting married? Thinking of hyphenating those last names? I hope they are not one of these combinations. When not to hyphenate your last name…(may contain some adult content)

Brett Farve hangs up his shoes and shoulder pads after 17 seasons in the NFL.
Congratulations to Brett Farve on an amazing career in the NFL. As a Green Bay Packer fan it is a sad moment to see Brett Farve leave. Farve was one of those guys you thought would play forever. In fact for the last 16 seasons it was guaranteed; if Green Bay played on Sunday Farve would start. 253 consecutive starts as a quarterback (275 if you count playoff games) is just one of many records Farve will take with him into the Mississippi sunset of his retirement.
The other records Brett Farve leaves the game with include 442 touchdown passes, 61,655 passing yards, 8,758 attempts, 5,377 completions, 160 wins by a starting quarterback and 3 MVP awards.
Although those numbers make up the greatness of 17 years of football, and they are sure to land him in the Football Hall of Fame in Canton; it is not what football fans will remember about Farve.
Farve will be remembered for how he played the game and his love for the game, that is what made him special to even some Bear’s fans.
You have heard the saying play every game like it’s your last. Farve played every game like it was his first. He played with the excitement and energy of a kid taking the field for the first time. The thrill never wore off for him.
In fact the last time I ever saw anyone play the game like Brett Farve did was when I was a kid, which is the way the game should be played.
And that is how Farve will be remembered, that is why he is special and the game of football will miss Brett Farve just as much as he will miss the game.
Calling all disgruntled conservatives to show up and vote in November, not necessarily for McCain.
If a conservative is still a republican after the last 13 years, then he is blind to the fact that the party no longer holds or cares about his views. With that said let me ask a few questions. Are you a disgruntled conservative upset with the Republican Party? I am. Did you sit on your hands and not vote in the mid-term election in 2006? I did. Are you thinking about not voting again? I was…
There really isn't one candidate worth my vote. They are all trying to give me something I don't want...Security. I don't want security. I want freedom, the freedom to succeed or fail on my own accord. I am responsible for my own well being, my own healthcare, and my own security. I do not need the great provider of government or anyone to empower themselves over me by making me dependant on you for things that are my own individual responsibility.
No one will take care of you better than you, not Hillary, not Obama, not McCain, not Huckabee, no one. Open your eyes and realize these politicians and all their free social programs are not for you or to help you because they care. They care about one thing – power, and they use free handouts and social programs to gain power and control over you.
Unfortunately this seems to be a hard concept to grasp. Especially with younger Americans who have been indoctrinated to believe they are entitled to things. There use to be a time in this country when even liberals believed Americans had some kind of responsibility. John F. Kennedy once proclaimed, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Now people are demanding “what can my country do for me while I do nothing for my country!”
Give me health care, prescription drugs. Make them raise my salary or give me lifetime job security. Pay my heating bill. Make oil companies lower the price of gas. Give me a retirement.
Politicians love this new mindset and are more than eager to grab the power to accommodate your needs and wants.
Just listen to these presidential candidates. They never talk about freedom or self-reliance. They only talk about what they will do for you if you give them the power to get it done.
We say it is the “land of the free and home of the brave.” Sure, there are a few left, but more and more we are becoming the “land of the secure and the home of the dependent.” We are turning the United States into an assisted welfare living center!
This nation is in serious trouble folks! It is like a big house infested with termites. The termites spread and grow feeding off the wood holding the house together. Eventually, the house will collapse. Who are the termites in America ? The government dependent; the working taxpayers are the wood holding it together. The politicians set the conditions to allow the termites to grow and spread.
It is really sad…in fact the only candidate that is willing to talk about freedom and independence and is not pandering to the give me crowd is Ron Paul. It is unfortunate that he just doesn’t recognize the threat imposed by Islamic terrorist, or he would be my candidate.
Like many conservatives, I sat out and did not vote in the mid-term elections last November in hopes to send a message to the Republican Party that they needed to return to their founding principles of Buckley, Goldwater and Reagan.
I now regret my decision and hope other conservatives do as well, for our message fell on deaf ears. Instead of staying home, conservatives should have voted for the Libertarian Party candidate on their ballot. This would have sent a message that couldn’t be ignored.
By not voting at all we removed ourselves from the game, and the Republican Party shifted farther to the middle to compensate for lost voters.
You could say conservatives have no one to blame but themselves for John McCain emerging to the front. It doesn’t mean we conservatives should vote for him, but we definitely cannot afford to stay home again and let our message go unheard.
Instead disgruntled conservatives like myself should show up to the polls in force and cast their ballots for the libertarian candidate for president. He won’t win, but the increase in votes for the libertarian candidate will make republicans take notice that there is enough conservative votes in the base for them to win elections. At the same time cast your vote for republican candidates in the Senate and House so liberals will not take control of the White House, Senate, and House, a situation that cannot be allowed to happen.

The Government must control the minds of your children
A California court has ruled several children in a homeschool family must be enrolled in and attend a [government] school or “legally qualified” private school.
Here is how the court ruling read: “We find no reason to strike down the Legislature’s evaluation of what constitutes an adequate education scheme sufficient to promote the ‘general diffusion of knowledge and intelligence,’” the court said in the case. “We agree … ‘the educational program of the State of California was designed to promote the general welfare of all the people and was not designed to accommodate the personal ideas of any individual in the field of education.’”
The ruling court also found “Keeping the children at home deprived them of situations where (1) they could interact with people outside the family, (2) there are people who could provide help if something is amiss in the children's lives, and (3) they could develop emotionally in a broader world than the parents' 'cloistered' setting."
There you have it. The government knows what is best for your little tykes; after all you are just stupid parents. The government must control the minds of your children and decide what is best. It worked for Adolf Hitler in 1938 and Saddam Hussein in Iraq . It is one of the most important planks of “The Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx. What better way to gain control of a society than by controlling the education of its youth.
The government has already decided what is best in most places. They will decide what vaccinations your child needs before he can attend school, what kind of mental and psychological screenings your child must have. Some already do decide this.
Most schools have already decided your children cannot pray or express religious convictions. Your child doesn’t really need to know about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln or the Constitution, but “Johnny Has Two Dads” is required and important reading. They decided your kid is equally guilty for protecting himself against a bully and the punishment will be equal for fighting. Some have decided reciting The Pledge of Allegiance makes some children feel uncomfortable and should not be recited and your daughter could get an abortion without your knowledge or consent.
All of this and more are decided by government ran schools everyday and now there is little a parent in California can do about it.

Masterfully Done and Brilliantly Entertaining Letter to the Editor
Here is a letter to the editor of the Journal Times of Racine, Wis. (third letter down) I found so masterfully done and brilliantly entertaining I had to share it here:
Hope for an Alternative
I agree with Kim Morrison that Barack Obama would be a great president. I have hope that he can provide free health insurance for everyone.
I have hope that he can bring our soldiers home and make the world a safer place. I have hope that he can protect Americans from poverty by printing more money at the mints.
And, I have hope that he can make me a taller, more attractive, wealthier person, immune to all illnesses. The best part is that all of these will be accomplished at absolutely no cost to me.
Some skeptics would say that he can't do these things because he hasn't had enough leadership experience, foreign policy experience, or government experience. Some would say that Obama can't provide for all our needs without doubling taxes. And, some would say that he hasn't provided one piece of a specific plan to reach these goals.
Well, to those people I ask, "Where is your hope?"
All these years I've been creating accomplishments and gatherine [sic] experience to list on my resume. From now on, I'll just list my hopes and plans. All that work was so unnecessary.

Angelina Jolie: U.S. has a moral obligation to Stay In Iraq
After recently visiting Iraq in her new role as a “goodwill ambassador” for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says the U.S. has a moral obligation to stay in Iraq .Here is part of what she wrote from a well-written Washington Post op-ed piece:
“…My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis…
Today's humanitarian crises in Iraq --and the potential consequences for our national security--are great. Can the United States afford to gamble that 4 million or more poor and displaced people, in the heart of Middle East , won't explode in violent desperation, sending the whole region into further disorder? . . .
As for the question of whether the surge is working, I can only state what I witnessed: U.N. staff and those of non-governmental organizations seem to feel they have the right set of circumstances to attempt to scale up their programs. And when I asked the troops if they wanted to go home as soon as possible, they said that they miss home but feel invested in Iraq . They have lost many friends and want to be a part of the humanitarian progress they now feel is possible.
It seems to me that now is the moment to address the humanitarian side of this situation. Without the right support, we could miss an opportunity to do some of the good we always stated we intended to do.
Of course I don’t agree with everything she writes here, as I am not a fan of UN involvement, but I will admit, I am impressed with a well thought out argument from a Hollywood starlet. Especially, when what we usually get from Tinsel town is anti-war blanket statements with no substance.
It seems to me that this should be the Democrats plan or solution for Iraq other than a cut and run defeat, but Jolie’s plan is quite contrast with the attitude of Democrat presidential hopefuls Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton though.
Both Clinton and Obama want to remove troops from the region. In fact, front-runner Obama said last summer even preventing genocide was not a sufficient reason for a continuing presence in Iraq , and Clinton claims no link between Iraq and national security.
Score one up for Jolie who is able to recognize our moral obligation and national security risks in Iraq . Something the entire Democrat Party has not been able to see as they are poised to nominate Barack Obama.
Oklahoma and Utah take right approach to gun laws on college campuses.
A bill is being proposed in Oklahoma that would allow college students to carry concealed weapons on campus. It would allow students who are at least 21 years old and licensed to carry a concealed weapon to carry them on government college and university campuses in Oklahoma .
The bill proposed by Republican House Representative Jason Murphey who says it will allow students to defend themselves, but the greater value of such a law would be the potential shooter might be hesitant to come onto a college campus where he doesn’t know who is armed and able to defend themselves.
Murphey proposed the bill after recent college shootings on the campuses of Northern Illinois University and Virginia Tech.
Murphey is absolutely right, and I hope this bill passes. College students should have the right to defend themselves just as anyone else.

Passenger at Tampa International Airport arrested with box cutter in hallowed out book.
21 year old Benjamin Baines Jr. of Clearwater , Fla. was arrested at Tampa International Airport after security personnel found a box cutter in a hallowed out book titled, “Fear Itself.”Officers searched his back pack and found several books titled, “Muhammad in the Bible,” “The Prophet’s Prayer” and “The Noble Qur’an.” He also had a copy of the Quran and the Bible.
Baines told officers he was moving to Las Vegas and forgot the box cutter was in the book.
Yes, I hallow out books all the time and forget where I put my box cutters too.
Several sheets of rap lyrics referring to police, narcotics, weapons and killings were also found in Baines’ backpack. He said he was a rapper who writes his own lyrics and rap music writers need to “play the part.”
Well, Mr. Baines, you are certainly “playing the part” now. Enjoy your time “playing the part” in the slammer.
I am not running for president either
Michael Bloomberg takes to the op-ed page of the New York Times to announce he is not going to run for president.
“I listened carefully to those who encouraged me to run, but I am not -- and will not be -- a candidate for president.”
Well, we can all sleep better tonight knowing that.
Just for the record, I am not running for president either. Since the NYT would probably never print an op-ed from the Big T, if you know any readers of the NYT could you please pass this equally important announcement... Thanks.

The Greatest Conservative Mind Of Our Time William F. Buckley Jr. dies at 82
William F. Buckley has passed away. It was either last night or early this morning. I am completely taken by surprise by this. I knew he was sick, has been for a while, but there was no signs he was about to go. He was working on a book, his memoirs of Barry Goldwater. I was truly looking forward to reading, and he also had plans for a book about Ronald Reagan.
Although I have never met either one, Buckley and Reagan have no doubt had a profound impact and influence on my views of the political spectrum. Buckley definitely played a bigger part in forming my views though.
I have to go back to my early teens to recount my knowledge of Buckley. I was 13, 14 years old and school was never my forte. I absolutely hated school. For me school was like this prison and I felt like I was being controlled. When I feel like that, I try to escape. I revolt, and don’t want any part of it. So school was not very productive for me. I did learn some things there, but most of my learning and my desire to learn came from outside the classroom.
At that time, Desert Storm had just kicked off in Iraq, and I was already a news junkie. I was glued to the TV, reading newspapers and magazines every chance I got. I remember being at a friend’s house and seeing for the first time a copy of National Review and reading Buckley’s column. I was completely taken in by it. It was the things Buckley wrote in those columns that created my desire to learn. His elegant use of the English language was motivation for me to read, write, speak and expand my vocabulary the best I could.
Buckley is simply irreplaceable. There will never be another one like him. Even though he inspired me to learn as much as I can, it didn’t help in the classroom. I went to college at 18 and struggled for a year. I flunked out, showed up for every class and still flunked. I just couldn’t hack the classroom environment. I could read, loved to read, just not textbooks. In fact, one of my all time favorite books is Buckley’s “God and Man at Yale.” I read it when I was 16. I still love to read and can read a 200 page book in two days or less.
Anyways, I quit school. I remember telling my parents I quit school. I think it may have been the most disappointing day of their life. I am still the only one of their children without a college degree. My two brothers both have bachelor’s degrees. So far I am making it without one, but I have recently given another stab at school. So far I am doing all right.
I have learned so much from the writings of Buckley. He has helped shape my views on politics and culture. In fact my understanding of lowering taxes to generate revenue came from Buckley.
I have since become a writer myself and have been published in several newspapers, magazines and online publications. One of the lessons I have taken from Buckley is to not compromise my beliefs. Just like Buckley there are some issues I find myself at odds with conservatives.
Buckley advocated for the decriminalization of marijuana, and I agree. I think we should end the non-winnable war on drugs and spend the money on prevention. Buckley came to oppose the Iraq war. Although I don’t oppose the war itself, at times I have been highly critical about how the Bush administration has handled the war. We both agreed President Bush is not a conservative. The only thing I think I ever fully disagreed with Buckley on was the giving up control of the Panama Canal.
Buckley was definitely one of the greatest intellectual writers of my time. If I can be half of the writer he was I will consider it a success.
Ronald Reagan is usually given credit to being the leader of the modern day conservative movement, but before Reagan, there was William F. Buckley Jr.
Buckley was the true founder of the modern day conservative movement and by far the greatest conservative mind of our time.
Editor, columnist, novelist, debater, TV talk show host of “Firing Line,” trans-oceanic sailor, and elegant master of the English language, the 1950 Yale honor graduate was able to legitimize conservatism as an intellectual and political movement with intelligent, educated, witty charm never seen before.
In 1955 Buckley founded the biweekly magazine National Review and declared his proposal to stand “athwart history, yelling ‘Stop’ at a time when no one was inclined to do so, or to have much patience with those who urge it.” Through his efforts he revived conservative ideology.
Buckley helped found the Young Americans for Freedom in 1960.
Buckley had a falling out with liberal Republicans in New York City in 1961 and was among the founders of the Conservative Party. He was the party’s candidate for mayor in 1965, running with a deep distaste against liberal republican Mayor John V. Lindsay. Buckley had no intentions of winning and when asked what he would do if he won, he said, “I’d demand a recount.”
Buckley also found himself at odds with the archconservative group John Birch Society, who were a growing force in the 1950s and 1960s. His articles cost the group their respectability with conservatives and Richard Nixon once said. “I couldn’t have accomplished that. Liberals couldn’t have, either.”

Hillary and the photo attack on Obama
Well folks, it was bound to happen. We are a week out from what could be the death of Hillary Clinton’s chance to win the nomination. It should be no surprise an attack on Obama circulated this weekend.
Matt Drudge of the well known website The Drudge Report posted a photograph of Barack Obama dressed in a white turban and robe on Monday. He claims was sent e-mailed over the weekend from “Clinton staffers.”
The photo is from a trip the senator took to Kenya in 2006, where he was presented with the clothes from village elders.
In an interview with WOAI radio in San Antonio Barack defended the outfit.
"Everybody knows that whether it's me or Senator Clinton or Bill Clinton that when you travel to other countries they ask you to try on traditional garb that you have been given as a gift," he said. "The notion that the Clinton campaign would be trying to circulate this as a negative on the same day that Senator Clinton was giving a speech about how we repair our relationships around the world is sad."
Of course Hillary Clinton claims she knows nothing about the photo…
Yeah, she knows nothing about it…right. Just like she didn’t know where those Rose Law Firm billing records were, or who hired Craig Livingston, had no idea her husband was planning to pardon some Puerto Rican thugs to help her election chances in New York, and the whole Monica Lewinsky thing was dreamed up by the “vast right winged conspiracy.”
Now Obama is correct in his defense. Politicians frequently were attire according to the culture when abroad. When in Rome do as the Romans do. I am sure if we looked hard enough we could find all kinds of photos of Hillary in strange outfits. So why would she leak a photo? What is the deal?
Simple…The Clinton camp knew this was a clever way to play the Muslim and race card unnoticed. Obama is not your typical white politician dressing up in African robes, he is a black politician dressed up as an African leader. She also knows Obama wearing a turban makes him appear to be Muslim!

Muslims offended by the words used in the fight on Islamic terrorism!
Oh did I say Islamic terrorism? Oops, looks like I just offended Muslims!
According to a report from Reuters Muslims are upset by some of the words used in the fight of the Global War on Terror.
For instance the word "jihad" frequently used by al Qaeda, counter intelligence specialists and the media to describe a “holy war” against the West generally means to most Muslim's a spiritual struggle. Many Muslims are also offended by phrases such as “Islamic terrorism” or “Islamic fascists.”
Isn’t that sad, we should be more sensitive…more politically correct and tolerant. What a bologna sandwich!
Instead of being offended by the words used in the fight, perhaps they should be offended by and join the fight against Islamic terrorist and extremist that have hijacked their religion to spread an ideology that justifies acts of violence, intolerance and mass murder!
I have no apologies of my use of words. I call them Islamic terrorist or Islamic extremists because that is what they are. If their actions do not fall inline with true Islamic faith, then Muslim leaders need to loudly denounce and take action against them. So far that has never happened.
I have nothing against Islam or any religion. I understand there are Muslims that just want to be left alone. I get it. I have seen them, met them, talked to them and done business with them in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are good, decent people, but their religious leadership has allowed Islamic extremist and terrorist to redefine their religion.

The government of Pakistan has ordered all Internet service providers block YouTube because it contains "blasphemous" content and material that is considered offensive to Islam. What about those propaganda Islamic terrorist sites? You know the ones showing U.S. troops being killed by IEDs and stuff. Are those “blasphemphemous” and offensive to Islam?
It seems there is a new service providing ``How is my teen driving?'' on a bumper sticker ... complete with a phone number to report erratic or dangerous driving to parents. I wonder how many prank calls that number will get?
In Florida it is illegal for local governments to use red-light cameras to issue traffic tickets. So Florida lawmakers will just change the name and issue "civil infractions." Isn’t that grand!

What do Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles and Barak Obama all have in common? The ability to make women become so overwhelmed in hysteria and emotion they faint! Definitely not something most politicians can claim credit for, but Barak Obama seems to be reaching rock star credentials on the campaign trail. The only thing missing is women’s undergarments being tossed from the crowd!Since Obamamania first kicked off, there have been at least five documented reports in the media from around the country of women fainting or coming close to fainting during an Obama rally speech.
Montecito, Calif., Sept. 8, 2007. "A woman standing in front of the stage appeared to faint as Obama spoke about Iraq," the Associated Press reported. "The candidate paused and asked the crowd to make way for firefighters. One supporter shouted, 'You're a good man,' leaving Obama momentarily at a loss for words. 'Well, I'm not the only one stopping to help her,' he said, sounding almost embarrassed."
Madison, Wis., Oct. 22, 2007. "This excitement mirrored the aura in the room that grew throughout his speech," reported WISN-TV. "Before the senator arrived, students were tossing around an inflatable cow above the crowd. Three people fainted in the midst of all the enthusiasm."
Hanover, N.H., Jan. 8, 2008. "Barack Obama's first and only rally on election day came to a sudden and lengthy stop when a young woman in the Dartmouth College gym fainted, and was eventually rolled off on a gurney by emergency medical technicians," the Los Angeles Times reported. "At first Obama half-narrated the episode, saying soothing things like, 'She's OK,' 'She's talking.' But the longer she lay on the floor, the quieter Obama got, standing on the podium, arms folded, looking worried as the medical crew worked." Minneapolis 's WCCO-TV has video showing Obama handing a bottle of water to the Dartmouth damsel in distress.
Hartford, Conn., Feb. 4, 2008. "And when a woman appeared to faint in the standing-only VIP section in front of the podium, Obama paused his speech for over a minute as he directed the crowd to make way for an EMT team and tossed a bottle of water from the stage," reported the Yale Daily News.
Seattle, Feb. 8, 2008. "Climate change, the Iraq war and Obama tossing a bottle of water to a woman about to faint all received big cheers," MSNBC.com reported. "As Obama told the crowd to part so that the woman in question could leave and called for help, a young girl in the crowd shouted out, 'What a man!' The audience roared with laughter (although the press that has seen this happen before rolled its eyes)."
So, what exactly are we to make of this new hysteria? Well, given how often it has happened and how well Obama’s standard response seems to be, one might wonder if the whole thing is staged, but what if it isn’t staged at all?
If these events are spontaneous then it is even more unsettling and strange. It would mean the American Idol syndrome has made its way into the political spectrum. It is hard to compare Obama to Elvis like icons of the party’s past. Neither JFK nor Bill Clinton won presidential elections with as little experience and accomplishments as the junior Senator from Illinois . There was more to their campaigns than a dream of change.
It appears Obama has a talent for sparking intense emotion in crowds, an ability that can be dangerous in a politician. What more does he have to offer? It is the million dollar question of his campaign, but no one seems to care what the answer is. This makes an Obama presidency quite worrisome.
What does Obama stand for? “Hope and change.” Sorry that isn’t an answer, besides wouldn’t it be wise to know what the change is?
Can anyone give me two specific policy initiatives Obama has proposed? National healthcare and higher taxes on the rich, but where was his leadership leading the charge in the Senate on these issues?
Someone, anyone name me three Obama accomplishments, and being elected Senator in one of the most liberal states in the country doesn’t count.
Barak Obama is the new Elvis of the Democrat Party with nothing more than a campaign speech and the ability to make women swoon.
Bill Clinton has long been considered the Elvis of the Democrat Party. A political icon worshiped and honored by the liberal masses like no other since JFK. However with all his charisma; I can’t recall anytime women fainted in the presence of him being on stage.
In fact, just recently the former president had trouble drawing a crowd to fill a high school gymnasium in New Hampshire . The new king is filling stadiums. Sorry Bill, but Obama has left the building.

New York Times' "Hit Job" on John McCain
Looks like the media infatuation with the “Maverick” has come to an end. This is what happens when you become the republican front-runner.
The front-page story of today’s New York Times contains a story about an alleged affair John McCain had with a lobbyist about eight years ago. Now this story has very little details or evidence other than reports from several unnamed former aids claiming to have kept the lobbyist Vicki Iseman, away from McCain. It is a real "hit job" by the New York Times and a despicable attack.
Leave it to the New York Times to bring up an alleged affair and scandal that happened eight years ago, has already been investigated and cleared McCain of any wrongdoing.
If you are a frequent reader here, then you know I am no fan of John McCain. However, I feel attacks like this are always unwarranted and unjustified, but if the Times is going to run such front page stories then where is the story on Huma Abedin?
If you google Huma Abedin you will find numerous stories suggesting Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin have been engaged in a long-term lesbian relationship. These stories are just as well sourced as the McCain lobbyist story. So, where is the front-page story at the Times on Huma and Hillary?
Personally I could care less about either one of these stories. Who John McCain did or didn’t have an affair with eight years ago is not going to effect the way he leads this country, the same for Hillary. How about we get back to the issues that matter.
Perhaps the Times should investigate voting records instead of life in the bedrooms of republican candidates…just a thought.

You want an economic stimulus plan that will work? Big T has one: The FairTax
President George W. Bush and Congress have been working on this grand economic stimulus plan to jump-start the economy out of its slump. They have come up with a plan to put about 600 bucks into the hands of millions Americans.
Of course not all Americans will get it…Only Americans selected on the basis of vote buying will get the money. What does that mean…well if you are rich and pay the most taxes…fouhgetaboutit. No stimulus for you! If you are middle-class and most of the poor you are in. You will be getting your check soon. Why, cause the government knows that the middle-class and the poor decide elections. Oh, and by the way if you are single and make 75,000 you are the rich… Hey, I don’t make the rules.
The government really has no desire to come up with a real economic stimulus plan. They just want a plan that looks like they are trying to do something. It puts a little walking money in the people’s pockets, and it will get them re-elected in November so they can retain their power over you.
Their economic stimulus plan is the manipulation of the tax code to gain votes. Something politicians have been doing for years. It isn’t going to work folks.
How about an economic stimulus plan that will work? I will give you some economic stimulus.
How about making the United States the number one tax haven for business in the entire world?
How about getting some of the $13 trillion (yes trillion) that has went overseas to escape our punishing tax code and set up shop in safer tax haven areas? This is money that should be in our economy!
How about freeing up the $300 to $500 billions that is spent by Americans and businesses every year to try and figure out and comply with our current tax code?
Instead of giving some households a $600 bone one time, how about we give every legal house hold a rebate check every month to offset the taxes on their basic necessities of life up to the poverty level?
How about totally removing the tax component from all capital and labor in this country?
How about letting people invest with untaxed dollars, and then not taxing the profits from those investments?
It sounds like a dream doesn’t it, but it can be achieved. The plan is called the FairTax. The FairTax will do all of this and more!
Thing is it is going to take the American people to demand the FairTax through a grass roots effort because politicians do not like the plan. They don’t like the plan because it takes power away from politicians. They would no longer be able to manipulate the tax code in order to pander to voters.
For months now we’ve heard politicians plan for more taxes on the rich, more rebates for the poor and a variety of ideas to use the tax code to influence people’s behavior. The FairTax puts an end to all that. It takes away that power. It would be the biggest transfer of power from politicians to the people since the ratification of the constitution.
We can get these politicians, kicking and screaming, to support the FairTax. We are already doing it. The FairTax is already popular and growing. Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee was a second tier candidate in the Republican Primary until he made the FairTax part of his platform. Now he is a front-runner, you will not convince me otherwise the FairTax had something to do with that.
So keep the e-mails and letters flowing to Congress, continue with the FairTax inquiries at town hall meetings, and support candidates who support the FairTax with your vote in November.

Talk show host without ideology?
A report from San Francisco’s KGO-TV reads: The ABC7 I-Team has the inside story of what lead up to the arrest of popular talk-radio host, Bernie Ward, on federal child pornography charges. . . .
Bernie Ward got indicted in December and got fired from his job at KGO Radio, effective at the end of last year. Now, police reports just obtained by the I-Team tell us who blew the whistle on Ward, and how he came to send the woman child porn, by his own admission.
The story goes into graphic detail about Ward’s sexually explicit online chats. I am not going to quote them here. You can click on the link and read through it if that sort of thing pulls your trigger.
I was just wondering why the media decided not to inform us about Ward’s leaning liberal political ideology out of the story.
When Rush Limbaugh found himself in controversy and trouble with the law a few years ago the media routinely reminded us he was a conservative talk show host. Many time the reference appeared more than once in a story.
Not so with Bernie Ward. In fact, if I didn’t know who Bernie Ward was; I wouldn’t be able to tell from this story that he was a liberal. They never mention it.
Could this be because most people associate talk radio with conservatives? Shouldn’t a professional reporter realize the importance to inform the reader that Ward is not a conservative talk show host?
If any conservative talk show host were arrested for any reason, I would find it shocking if the media failed to identify him as a conservative.
How about some outrage from the leaders of the wonderful. peaceful and tolerant religion of Islam!
I have said this before, and I will say it again. I will never be convinced the Islamic religion is a faith of peace and tolerance until the leaders of the religion actually condemn outrageous and violent acts committed in the name of their religion. Even then, some type of action needs to be taken, but it isn’t going to happen. They are busy spreading their ideology and being outraged by anyone who doesn’t accept their religion.
A few days ago I wrote about two young women sentenced to death by stoning in Iran for allegedly committing adultery. They have both received 99 lashes so far leading up to their execution. I still have not heard anything from the Muslim leadership condemning this.
Now we have a story, also from Iran, about a man who has stoned his own fourteen-year-old daughter to death for allegedly having a relationship with a man.The father showed no sign of remorse, telling police interrogators: “I suspected that my daughter had a relationship with a man, and I had to stone her to death as she had besmirched my honor.”
He suspected it!!! This man killed his own daughter on a suspicion. Isn’t the Muslim world fantastic?
I will continue to wait for some outrage from Muslim leaders. Perhaps the Council of Arab Islamic Relations (CAIR) would like to comment???
